The recent terrorist attacks in Europe are raising concerns about the threat of World War III.

If World War III broke out, would you stay in your country or flee? Here are the 10 most secure countries in the world.

  • Swiss: Switzerland has a tradition of political neutrality. They own armed troops with modern weapons and bunkers scattered in many places. Recently, while Europe is unstable, Switzerland is safe.

Switzerland is bordered by countries at risk of war such as Germany, France, Italy ... but the mountain is protected. If a war occurs, people can take refuge in the mountains.

  • Tuvalu: Tuvalu is deep in the Pacific Ocean. This place is politically neutral and in remote places there is no danger of riot.

Tuvalu has a sparse population, few resources, so the outside forces have no reason to attack. Tuvalu owns consumer goods and food so the island is very independent.

  • New Zealand: New Zealand is a developed country but isolated from the rest of the world. They can be democratic and unrelated to major conflicts in the world.

New Zealand has a mountainous terrain as Switzerland should be a good shelter for the people if the war.

  • Bhutan: Bhutan's special location makes it a safe haven even during the outbreak of World War II. Bhutan has the Himalayan mountains surrounding it, separated from other countries.

Since joining the United Nations in 1971, Bhutan has maintained political stability, no diplomatic relations with the United States.

  • Chile: Chile is a stable and prosperous country in South America. Chile's human development rank is higher than that of other Latin American countries.

Chile's border is protected by the Andes Mountains as a shield.

  • Iceland: Iceland is known for being a peaceful country, leading the Global Peace Index in 2015.

This beautiful country is surrounded by mountains and does not share borders with any country. Younger mounts are the strongest shield, avoiding the risk of being attacked.

  • Denmark: Denmark joins NATO and EU, so there could be conflicts as other Europe countries.

However, Greenland has a mountainous terrain and is as remote as Iceland, so it has no political significance and can be a safe haven.

  • Malta: The tiny island of Malta is located on the Mediterranean Sea. Historically there have been many empires that wanted to occupy Malta but failed.

Because Malta lies in the middle of the ocean, it is less likely to be attacked.

  • Ireland: Ireland is a prosperous country but has no risk associated with world war. They aim to be independent, not NATO, and have a tradition of military neutrality.

Under Irish law, any power that would have caused conflict would require the approval of the United Nations, the government and the legislature.

  • Fiji: Faraway island of Fiji is spread over the Pacific, separated from the invading forces.

Fiji's low population, neutrality on diplomatic relations and lack of resources for external forces to take over the cause of the offensive.
