Baked harmonica apples
- 6 apples;
- 170 g butter;
- 70 g of sugar + a little for dressing;
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon;
- 60 g of oatmeal ;
- vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce - optional.
Cut the apples in half lengthwise and remove the seeds. On the skin side, make several parallel cuts on apples at a distance of 5–8 mm from each other. Do not cut the fruit completely.
Put the apples sandpaper up on a pan, covered with parchment. Lubricate them with part of the melted butter and sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 180 ° C for about 20 minutes.
Mix the remaining melted butter, 70 g of sugar, cinnamon and oatmeal. When the apples have cooled down a bit, fill the cuts with the prepared mixture. Put in the oven for another 10 minutes.
Before serving, you can decorate each apple with a scoop of ice cream and pour over caramel sauce.
