Hello everyone, welcome to the third edition of the @Steemitcentral Flash Fiction Contest. We are organizing this contest because of the growing need to promote short fiction on the Steem blockchain.
What is a Flash Fiction?
Flash fiction is an extremely short fictional work. An average flash fiction can be read in three minutes.
This Week'sContest:
**In not more than 150 words, write a flash fiction on the topic, "The Road of No Return".

The road of no return
He used to work at night, so he had to drive the dark ones in his car on lonely roads to his apartment.
One day back to his house in the middle of the dark road. Why decide if your vehicle is going to go down and see what happens when you are going to approach the light.

In an apocalyptic pee a family that had no resources to survive decides to make one last attempt to get more safe shelter and they get into the truck, mom, mother, Sam, and they do not imagine what on the road to find her alredy on the trip After hours on the road they came across an obstacle and in the center there was a basket with food and drinks.
When they saw it, it was a trap, and that was the way it was, but because of hunger, the identity father got off and left behind the wheel to his youngest son and he says to get ready to start the truck while he was looking for the food basket.
As he approaches he realizes that a zombie stampede has come running and as he can he grabs her and climbs into the truck.
And they manage to escape but being a kilometer away they run out of gas and the stampede still chases them and they run but little by little they get tired of something that did not happen with the ambiguous zombies that are gradually reaching them and defending one by one ina last effort is Roxan almost near his death and he listens to shots and was people of the refugee who asked as they rescued her although she was left without legs survived.

Sarah felt so confused wondering why she didn’t terminate the pregnancy in its early stage. She didn’t know that she was pregnant until the pregnancy was already 2+ months. “Why did I allow this stupid boy to deceive me? He said that he would support me all through this period but now he is nowhere to be found”. She thought deeply looking confused.
“My pregnancy is already 7+ plus months now and everyone has left me to my fate. If I had known, I wouldn’t have absconded from home with Jason the runaway father of my unborn child. I allowed Jason to deceive me and now I just have to bear the consequences for my actions. I am already on this road of no return and I have to walk it till the end.” She said aloud to herself in tears.
The Road Of No Return
Bush rats scampered as the running figure tore through their territory, his legs engaged in a mad race against each other. His eyes, unfamiliar with the territory, directed him into the path ahead. His right hand, burdened by the rifle, dragged behind him, putting a strain on his shoulder.
He remembered the explosion as the the lead vehicle in the convoy blew into flames. They had rushed out, everyone but him, and received a resounding welcome from the terrorists in the woods.
He had dashed out when the shooting cease, running like a deer chased by a tiger. The road forked into two and he had to make a choice. He turned left without thinking.
The first shot met him in his shoulder. He lifted his rifle, trying to put up a last fight. But it was obvious, he had chosen the road of no return
