I checked out the website and agree quite amazing - however, this is how they still do things in a lot of Asia, I believe - like here in Thailand, you can go to the gold shop and pick from thousands of designs, everything is sold by the gram ... pure gold and you have it how you like the look or good luck charm of it I guess :)
Very happy to see a western-orientated company do the same, in Asia people still value Gold over Cash anytime, just look at what happens to some of their currencies. They know gold at home in the safe is the only 'safe' thing to do -- China, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam all ... wealthy families will stack tons lol

I like the Thai gold myself, i dont have as much as the picture above, haha. I never seen a gold bar when i was living there. Lots and lots of gold shops with walls of chains :)
Mene is a rip off compared to Asian gold, charging $75 for shipping on items worth a few hundred, lol. I'll stick to buying thai chains and rings.
I get you and kinda feel the same, however you don’t know with stuff like MENE, if they are popular these pieces will gain value as antiques also.

Thats right! Some of the original Mene designs are already retired and there is a chance they will become collectible items as Mene grows and becomes a household name. Love this comment! Yes the founders have said publicly that the inspiration for Mene was from the way the East sells jewelry by gram weight. They were inspired by trips to India and China specifically. Mene is unique in comparison to other western jewelry companies. Thanks for checking out Mene :)
