It was my first train ride and I bought into the marketing with the smiling, warm, faces and the inviting atmosphere. Little did I know that the car was drafty and the temperatures at night over the New Mexico and Arizona deserts dropped below freezing. No wonder all of the blankets were sold out. And yes, I was a new dad, so clueless.
