Even if it was technically not allowed, a group of people could still own a server each and work together towards their common goals.
I think, in a way, it's actually good if several persons can manage to form a group with the same principles and work together towards what they believe is a better Steemit experience.

Congratulations you win. I think the "few" will alienate the many and steem will never realize its true potential.

I believe that a small group or even a person is much easier to corrupt or make decisions for their own good. I think it is better that there is a large group of people who are responsible for managing, so it will be more reliable.

Congratulations you win.

No way, a single person or a group should be only one witness steem.

No, power should be distributed to reduce the likelihood of corruption.

I'm a nerd, IT admin type. Technically speaking every witness should have multiple servers. If for nothing else for redundancy to protect their investment on the platform. It does not look good for a witness who misses blocks etc. they only have a few screwups and they are done.

In all honesty, I have not looked at their possible configurations for nodes and the possible redundancy of servers in those nodes. I have been a bit curious about what kind of rigs they are running because that's right up my alley.

I think @themarkymark has made some posts regarding "witness, how to."
