The Thank You Economy - Week 4
Back for another Week of Heart Felt Thankfulness and 4+ SBI Shares
The Thank You Economy has turned into a fun project I'm meeting tons of new people, finding new communities and awesome ways to participate and connect with other Steem users. Last weeks contest was totally awesome. We gave away 6 shares of SBI and the engagement level was great, with 95 total comments and 13 entries. I was also introduced to the Punday Monday Contest that @improv hosts, it's definitely a lot of Pun. (yes that was extremely corny but I just couldn't resist.)
I just want to thank everyone again who has been participating. Also be on the lookout, a couple people have said they are going to be doing their own version of The Thank You Economy. This week we have a couple sponsors and a couple twists to include in the contest. What is The Thank You Economy contest all about?
An Attitude of Gratitude - The Thank You Economy is simply a way to say thank you to someone who has helped you, influenced you or blessed you in some way in the Steem community. It can be tough getting started on Steemit, and the people who have been here for a while realize that. After all they were new at one time as well. What I realized about the Steemit community was there are people helping us new guys all over the place, but what can we really do to show our appreciation back? Not much....
When you are new about all you can do is say "Thank You," maybe give a post a resteem to the 100 followers who are not bots, and a small dust vote. Those things can add up especially if they have a lot of followers. That's where the idea for the Thank You Economy contest arose from I wanted to do more to say thank you.
Maybe I can do more. It might help to give them a little added exposure in a contest and possibly a share of Steem Basic Income, which will pay them over and over as long as they are posting content. I thought there might be other who wanted to do the same, not to mention it's fun.
Just saying thank you to someone opens up all kinds of opportunities to interact with each other. YOU CAN THANK ANYONE, anyone who has helped you and made a difference in your life, you could even thank @ned for helping develop the steemit platform, now if he won it would probably be a waste of a good SBI share, he usually declines payment for his posts.

- Two commenters will be randomly selected by the amazing prize wheel I found. The account making the comment and the account tagged in the comment will receive one SBI share each (4 total shares).
- I will also give an upvote to each valid entry, but that does not amount to much. Upvote your own comment if you would like, or if you have a @dustsweeper account it might help.
- Create a post for your entry, 200+ words following the #ccc guidelines found here
- Be sure to use #ccc as one of your tags and include the reference to the #ccc
- Please include a link back to this contest as well.
- Comment on this post with the name of the person you want to thank and a link to your post
- This comment/post will count as your entry into the main contest also.

Actually, I came here because of his videos. I remember he made a video about it and shared his views on this site. Then I thought I should join it. As I waste too much time scrolling down the facebook page, instead I should utilize my time in much good manner. I may not earn through it but at least I can improve my English, my writing skills and my way of conveying ideas to others. then after almost 20 days, I was tired of it because no one was reading my blogs and I got a little depressed because I put a lot of time in my articles.
Then there comes his other video about steemit and that worked like magic for me because that video motivated me. Then I stopped thinking about quitting.

Cool contest and thanks to @trincowski for bringing my attention to this one.
I'm going to thank @lynncoyle1 (again) for bringing me onto Discord and into the Asapers group in particular. That one move has made a world of difference to me on Steemit. The plankton that I was at that time, I needed the helping hand just to get moving a bit better.
It was shortly after that point that I started posting my stories and got my first @curie reward - I'm on four now. :-D
I'm also now curating for Asapers as well!
All because someone like Lynn took the time to read one of my posts and invite me to Discord. That's where it all really began for me.

My thanks goes out to @bozz who welcomed me to Steemit not so long ago. He helped me find a new home on a couple of discord channels that welcomed me with open arms and has helped me tremendously with letting me know what types of challenges I can participate in until I can find my niche.
He is also the first person to give me my first SBI share. He is very knowledgeable and has a great positive energy about him. I know that if I ever have a question, he will do his best to help answer it for me or help me find the answer.
Thank you for the mention. I was helped by so many others like @goldendawne and @aschatria, it is the least I can do. I have been kind of off grid the past couple of weeks camping in the great wide North, but I hope to dig in and get more active again in the coming months. That's awesome, it looks like you both share a love for music. That's one of my passions as well, I just can't find the time to do everything on steemit. It looks like you are finding a niche in some of the photo and musical groups here on steemit.
Yes, but I would love to be able to finish an article I've been working on for well over a week. It's actually been going on maybe two or more weeks now. I have severe writer's block and doing some of these challenges helps me write a little on it every day! Thank you so much for this competition because I've also had help from someone else on here but I was not sure if I could also nominate him as well or save it for next week.
You can save it for next week if you want. I know the feeling, it took me a week and a half to write the post on Goldenseal, between finding the time and strolling down memory lane too much.

First of all, yay that you're punning with us now. Second of all, I'd like to suggest that @littlescribe, who has been supportive and excited for what I'm doing, deserves my thanking nomination! She's a tremendous part of the steem community in general, but also in my little slice of it, I feel like we have a solid personal relationship born out of nothing but an admiration for each others' virtual personalities (who knows if they're real personalities or not!?! WHAT IS REALITY?)
LOL, I love punny stuff. So in reality you have a virtually real relationship, which may or may not be a real reality. I'm sure those are going to be more popular as the VR stuff takes off.

Awesome contest ... who shall I pick this week. So many Steemians I could choose but this week I will go with @steven-patrick. He post some great nature photos and gives detailed explanation of the pictures he takes. I have learned that allot of flowers are edible through his blog post so if I ever get stranded in the wilderness at least I won't starve.

Yeah I got some tips from another Steemian. I will likely go ahead with it at some point but my post for the next few days are already all decided.
