Mixing Up Tribes

in #community5 years ago

In yesterday's lesson in School Of Steem, we were discussing different types of tribes and their proper usage without abusing the system... Today, I would like to go a little bit further... Talk about onboarding, but not onboarding on STEEM, but onboarding in particular tribe.

I didn't find anywhere that someone was talking about mixing up the tribes... :) At first, I was thinking to use the word "crossovers" of tribes, but in a nutshell, it's not so important how will I call it... The important is the idea and implementing it...

As you know (if you have read the yesterday post :) ), you can use more tribe tags when you are creating the post and I usually use 2-3 (or 4) different tags in my posts. Also, I have a large chunk of staked tokens in my favorite tribe, #CTPTalk and I'm usually upvoting comments with my staking account... In that way, mu upvote is more valued than if I upvote with my SP.

Let' get to the point by doing an example... I'm creating a post about token markets, analyzing price changes, etc. and I'm adding into tags something like:

markets investing graphs ctp steemleo palnet

By doing that, my post will be shown in 3 tribes (CTPTalk, SteemLeo, and Palnet). If my post is valuable for each of those communities (and maybe a little bit provocative), someone will probably comment on it... And that's the moment that we are waiting for!

As I said, I have a big chunk of staked CTP tokens and I will upvote the comment, and of course, respond to it. There is a possibility that the commenter didn't know about the #CTP talk (for example, he saw the post on Palnet website), but after 7 days he/she will receive 60% CTP tokens from my upvote to the personal wallet. A little bit exploring what did he get and VOILA, there is a chance that he will come back for more...

As we were doing these simple steps, we will probably gain a few more things... The most important is of course appreciation for the good content, for the upvote and maybe a new follower! And our tribe will maybe get a new author, commenter or curator as the user has our tokens in the wallet!

We have opened a door. Where will someone go isn't in our hands anymore. But, the door is open for everyone!

I hope that I didn't confuse you too much... :) And I was joking with @jongolson about his confusing Crypto Monday stream session start :) :)

I agree 100 percent. I have known this almost from the start of my Steem journey. Because others did the same thing to me and I picked up on it. I have gotten and followed people this way. Great advice and another fantastic post. :)

The mystery is finally solved! :)
Thanks for your comment :)

Really great advice @ph1102, and a very good example of why it's important to upvote comments, if someone in another tribe comments and the CTP tag is in there, they start earning CTP, keep up your great work and stay awesome.

This is Awesome Content, and it has been manually curated with an upvote of 60% from @thisisawesome and it will be included in our Awesome Daily report in category Awesome CTP Curation for more visibility.
