an EASY SOLUTION to your Dust Vote woes!!
Hi everyone,
Lately there has been a lot of talk of "dust votes"; the fact that if your upvote to a comment is less than 0.03$ , is simply disappears like dust in the air. You can read all the details in this well-researched post by @thedarkhorse.
The good news is that @davemccoy and @danielsaori have created something amazing to fix this problem!! It's called @dustsweeper :)
you will have your dust taken care of automatically. It's a friendly, simple to use bot that looks out for the newbies and minnows, and makes sure that you get paid from the votes that have been cast for you, no matter how small.
You can read more details in their post, but in a nutshell, you just have to send 1 sbd or steem or more to @dustsweeper and they will take care of the rest!
There is no membership fee whatsoever, but there is a charge of $0.014 SBD for every dust vote we cast. That is half of the value of the upvote of $0.028. The way we keep track of it is that you send about 1 SBD/STEEM or more, we double the amount and keep the balance on hand.
What a great way to help those of us who struggle to have our upvotes really mean something!!

I think it's a brilliant idea @lynncoyle1. Only problem is I can't make the transfer through my wallet. No matter what I do I keep getting transaction errors. I hope it sorts itself out soon!
Have you let @davemccoy know? I know that they did a test run last night and it worked fine.

I'm not very good with the figures @lynncoyle1 so don't really get how it works. From something posted earlier bu Daniel it looks like I've already made 0.26 that would have been lost. It's so satisfying to see those little votes saved.
Mind you, up until a couple of weeks ago I had no idea that they were being lost in the first place! 😊

I think one of the things about the dust vote that seems to be missing, is that when a person gives a vote, it is an act of curation. If that vote gets dusted, then not only the receiver of that vote misses his/hers reward, but the giver misses out on a chance of a curation reward. So while @dustsweeper may primarily be about the reward going through to the receiver, the caster also gets a reward out of it now also, at least I think that is how it will work, but not 100% sure.
Yes, that's sounds right to me too, and it's something I hadn't really thought through. Thank you for taking the time to sort that out :)
This will definitely help out a lot of people. We have all been there/are there, where our votes are little and going noticed or being rewarded for it isn't always there.
