We Are the Change — A #TeamGood Post
Reading @lymepoet’s post about Montreal street art made me think of this video by Michael Franti, a powerful song echoing a call for change that has been chanted throughout time.

Have a listen. He's one of my favourite musicians, largely because his music is a force that brings people together.
Here are some thoughts, inspired by this song...
Building bridges of kindness.
It can be discouraging when crypto prices fall, or when posts don't get as much attention as we'd like, but this platform is powerful because of the way it brings people together. If we focus on that, we'll all have more fun as we support each other.
Every time we make a friend on Steemit or Discord, the world becomes a friendlier place. Differences don’t seem as important as the things we share in common. We learn about each other’s cultures, listen to each other’s voices, care about each other's lives. We build bridges of kindness.
The more we participate in changing the world, the more we see the change.
It's real. It's happening. Keep believing!
We Are the Change
The world has been divided by fear for too long.
Patriarchy and prejudice do not serve us.
Us, the citizens of planet Earth.
Now, we reach across the globe,
Across nations, paying no heed to borders.
Here, we reach out to each other, saying,
“Peace, Brother. Peace, Sister.”
And the world becomes smaller.
Stronger.
I am the change. You are the change. We are the change.

As individuals we are small, but together we are strong. This is exactly the type of post we all need to pull behind and support, it costs nothing to give an upvote, and a resteem helps spread the word.
I have met some incredible people on Steemit, like @katrina-ariel and even though we are all a million miles apart we share a common respect for each other, our posts and also the many people in this community whoever they are and we are all equal - friends together sharing our thoughts and posts.
It took me a long time to really understand the value and power of community on Steemit, the tipping point for me was joining #thealliance and the guidance and inspiration of @enginewitty , where I discovered how many selfless people exist on this platform giving everything they can to support others - amazing people including @saffisara , @topkpop , @hazem91 I could go on - but someone else should fill in the rest.
Supporting charitable accounts like @youarehope and @tarc should be a natural act for us all - because one day you might need the exact same support they give.

Right? Love this song. Michael Franti has a way of getting to the heart of things with clever words, great beats, and truth that makes you listen and nod.
Bwaha! Listen and nod. I was totally nodding and I think the cinematics are just as good as the lyrics and music. Whole thing is a veritable piece of art.
I agree. It's a fantastic video. Then again, everything I've seen from this group has been great. Even got to rock out front row when I saw them at Jazz Fest in New Orleans, many years ago.

Wow.. Amazing Piece
I like this place cause unlike other platforms where you already have your known people supporting you, this one allows you to get into unseen spaces and meet so many new people, connect with them and build bonds with them. In this journey of 8 months I have got to know some real wonderful people here. It's not always about the vote and money, I also see people supporting each other in times of need which is truly incredible.
Strangers meet here and develop bonds, truly the world has become much smaller than our imagination.
