I think you should reconsider this, why would people want to nominate others comment and then they will win, but the person who has commented on your post doesn't get anything, so why would peopl want to participate in your contest if they are not getting anything. I am not saying it because My suggested comment won but because I liked your Concept of Comment of the day very much, and after participating yesterday I was pretty much excited for today, but you have ruined my excitement, I think you should reconsider the reward distribution for future, It is a pretty fun idea and It could go viral. @acidyo
The suggestions get rewarded as well. I've been doing 1% votes for now on all so I don't interfere with who gets to win but still reward the users nominating.
Can up the % a bit more but 10-20 cents just for nominating a comment isn't all that bad in my opinion. Maybe its not something for all users.
I was just saying It would be more fun in that way, If we were getting paid to look up for the comment that we think could be the comment of the day. for 10 to 20 cents a lot less people will try that much hard. I just see a flaw in your awesome contest, but It is your contest and you make the rules. At the end it is your decision. Was fun participating yesterday. @acidyo
Just like the very platform we are on, rules can change and adapt over time. For now let's go with this and see how it works over a period of time. Thanks for the suggestions though!
