Phytolacca americana (Лаконос американський, багрина звичайна) - A perennial plant height of 1-2 (3) c. Strong and choppy stem grows straight, branched, purple, the base may be slightly woody. Opposite lies leaves divided into petiole and leaf plate. Leaf plate ovate-lanceolate, dull-green. It has white flowers summer and autumn black and purple berries up to 1.2 cm in diameter. Seeds 3 x 2,4-2,5 mm, lenticular, reniform, black and smooth.
