Because of the weird weather - thunder storms last week, and now hot like the turbo mode in some industrial pizza oven - nature got lil' confused, well maybe not all nature but surly some flowers, like these Poppies I shot in the valley near my house.
You can clearly see all the dry brown earth around it
The commonly grown garden decorative Shirley Poppy is a cultivar of this plant.
The petals contain a red dye which is used in some medicines and wines.
Oil made from the seed is highly regarded in France.

Beautiful flowers and you captured it amazingly friend. Pollens are clearly visible at the centre. Such medicinal flower is hard to find. Nice post.
