Color Challenge: Wednesday Yellow
Pride of Barbados
This is the national flower of Barbados, an island nation located in the Caribbean. It is also known as the Dwarf Poinciana or Flower Fence.
This species is usually found blooming year-round in bright reds, oranges, pinks and yellows. While it comes in various color combinations, the only coloration that is accepted as the national flower of Barbados is the red variety with yellow edges. It is even on the country's coat of arms.
