As already reported, just recently I made use of my new TenX-Karte for the first time, and now I would like to tell you if it was worth it. Today we received the packages of coffee we had ordered at roastmarket, and even if normally I am more a 'tea addict' it was a real pleasure to taste it. The sorts were chosen by my wife, the expert for Indonesian coffee. :) |
Wie bereits berichtet, kam vor kurzem meine neue TenX-Karte zu ihrem ersten Einsatz. Ich will euch natürlich nicht verschweigen, ob sich ihr Einsatz auch gelohnt hat. Heute kam der bei roastmarket bestellte Kaffee an, und obwohl ich selbst eher Teetrinker bin, war es ein Genuss, ihn zu probieren. Die Sorten wurden von meiner Frau als Expertin für indonesischen Kaffee ausgesucht. :) |

On the left you see a package of "Orang Utan coffee". It's an arabica coffee from Sumatra. The special thing about it is that for every kg you buy 0.50 euro are used to support the coffee growers of the ecological "Orang Utan Coffee Project". Also PanEco, an organisation to protect the orangutans in Sumatra, receives 0.50 euro per kg of exported "Orang Utan coffee". On the right there is coffee "Organico". A selection of organic beans from Indonesia and the Caribbean. |
Links seht ihr eine Packung "Orang-Utan-Kaffee". Es ist ein Arabica-Kaffee aus Sumatra. Das Besondere an ihm ist, dass für jedes verkaufte kg 0,50 Euro dafür verwendet werden, die Kaffeebauern des ökologischen "Orang Utan Coffee Projects" zu unterstützen. Auch PanEco, eine Organisation zum Schutz der Orang-Utans Sumatras, erhält 0,50 Euro pro kg exportierten "Orang-Utan-Kaffees". Rechts ist "Kaffee-Organico" abgebildet. Es handelt sich dabei um Auslesen aus Indonesien und der Karibik. |

The photo on the left shows "Schwarzwild Original Espresso". This coffee is made of arabica and robusta beans (from India and Indonesia) and has a somewhat chocolaty flavor. On the right there is "Muscovado MauiSu Dark", a 'caramelic' cane sugar from Mauritius. |

Schön, dass die Karte jetzt schon einen so guten Einsatzzweck gefunden hat. Ich bin begeistert. :)
Na das klingt doch nach einem sinnvollen und positiv verlaufenem Erstversuch mit deiner neuen Karte. Freut mich, wenn es solche Projekte gibt, wo man ohne zusätzlichen Aufwand sinnvolle Dinge unterstützen kann.
Bin ja selbst auch kein Kaffeetrinker (ja, ungewöhnlich für Naturwissenschaftler), von daher ist der Shop für mich jetzt nicht so interessant, aber evtl. muss ich ja auch mal was verschenken und es bleibt mir bis dahin im Gedächtnis :-)
Netter Post für eine gute Sache mit einer sehr sympathisch wirkenden Kaffee-Trinkerin.
Genuss mit dem guten Gefühl, Sinnvolles zu unterstützen!
Wenn man bedenkt, dass ca. 80 % des Kaffees von Kleinbauern produziert wird, die mit oft weniger als einer Handvoll Dollars ihren Lebensunterhalt bestreiten müssen, dann sind all diese Fair Trade-Initiativen absolut unterstützenswert.
Umso besser, wenn darüber hinaus - wie in diesem Projekt - auch noch zum Schutz der Orang Utan in Sumatra beigetragen wird!
Interessant und hilfreich, den Weg von der Bestellung über die Aktivierung bis zur konkreten Anwendung der TenX-Karte zu verfolgen :)
Ein toller Beitrag! Ich liebe Kaffeeposts! Das Orang Utan Projekt ist wirklich eine tolle und unterstützenswerte Sache! Und der Kaffee ist richtig lecker! Wie habt ihr ihn zubereitet? In der Kaffeemaschine? Der Muscovadozucker ist auch schon seit langem fester Bestandteil in meiner Küche. Ich nutze ihn hauptsächlich zum Backen. Weil er auch etwas leicht malignes hat, kann man damit auch toll Tofu, Frühte oder Gemüse karamellisieren :-) Viel Spaß damit! Liebe Grüße, Lu
Wow! This is nice. I was supposed to read this post about 9hours ago but in between my eyelids was this heavy sleep beckoning. I think I read half before I lost the battle to the sleep. But here I am now..
All I know is that their rights are violated in a post I read on suesa's blog. I didn't really know orangutans have a coffee till now. Thank you for the information, at least I know now.

Ich finde es absolut super, wenn es derartige Möglichkeiten gibt zu helfen und vor allem wenn sie genutzt werden. Manchmal nutzen kleine Dinge mehr als großes Medien wirksames tramtram****** lasst euch den Kaffee schmecken.......
