Classical-Music Curation 12th May 2018

Phew, just sneaking in at under a week for the curation. However, there are just so many things in the week, that I think I will be trying to transition this to a twice a week post. I'm sure I've said that before, but the time to write one monster post a week is just too much!

I'm going to also have to come up with new headings, not everything fits neatly in the right spot....

One tiny administration thing before we get to the good stuff. I will keep my writing fee at the lower level of 10 percent. Now that I see how things are panning out, it seems like the fair thing to do! Of course, we can all boost our payouts to each other by upvoting and commenting and delegating!

Please post in #classical-music if you want the support of the two community accounts (@classical-music and @classical-radio). The accounts are manually curated and it is too time consuming to chase posts all over Steemit!

Please help us out by flying the community colours, the cut and paste code is the Discord.

If you haven't done so already, consider following the curation trail at SteemAuto and also following @classical-radio on your fanbase. Easy to do, helps support the community (and by extension yourself) and you get easy curation rewards!

Comment, upvote and resteem (this and each other)! As we grow as a community, the rewards for everyone grows! If you are of a size that can afford a small (or giant) delegation this is made easy via this tool at Steembottracker! Any size helps, and will help the community grow stronger together!

Listening

First up, from @freyman, a nice long post about the Australian composer Peter Sculthorpe, one of Australia's bettter known Classical music composers. Definitely worth a read if you want to hear some music with the digeridoo and some of Australia's iconic nature sounds.

Next up we have this great 12 Tone Music by @timspeer for violin solo, maybe @silentscreamer wants to have a go a recording this!

From @lifeinblue we also have a new composition in completely different style, a Tango nuevo Melancolia written for 'cello and piano.

From a new member(@danieldedosd2) we have a beautiful performance of "Champagne"

@laviq gives us a very nice rendition of Francisco Tárrega - Capricho árabe which he has also entered in a competition or two. Also recorded earlier in the week was the Danza by Jorge Martinez Zarate

@guifaquetti has quit his day job as a guitarist, to become a..... guitarist. You can hear his entry into the Artzone music contest here. Also recorded this week were: Ferdinando Carulli (1770 - 1841) - Andante Op. 241, No. 18 and Vasco Martins - Deserto Subtil II

@musicapoetica begins the posting of the live recording of the Markus Passion by JS Bach (uncompleted), in it's completed form by Jorn Boysen. The choir is amazing (the orchestra too), considering it is only 8 people!

@moccamonica gives us a great cover of La vie en rose, with an especially interesting video!

What can be better than having an enjoyable time playing music with your loved one? @danielmonteso and @lifeoflili shares their enjoyment with a duo, Estribillao de Ricardo Escorcio

@grayarty shares some great Malaysian music Getaran Jiwa by P.Ramlee, great introduction to a composer that is not so widely known.

@bernardtjames gives us a Sunday morning perofrmance of the Prelude in C Minor, Op. 28: No.20 (Chopin)

From what appears to be the same school or faculty, we have the singers @danieldedosd2, Caro mio Ben, @mariajruizb, Addio del passato and @edmundocentenor O Sole Mio.

Reading

The Piano Concerto No 2 in F Major, op 102 by Shostakovich is a masterwork of the Classical Music genre, @guifaquetti gives us a nice write up about the piece.

@enjoywithtroy shares one of his favourite pieces in the Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto No. 1, Op. 23 performed by Yuja Wang.

@laviq shares his knowledge about these TLaudio FAT1 compressors, used for recording equipment.

Me me me!!

No music related stuff this week. Just enjoying the sun and writing about politics and crypto and other stuff! and listening to this tooo often.

Admin stuff

My writing allocation will forever stay at the lower value of 10 percent. It ensures a fairer distribution of the the rewards for the post.
