►Arturo Fuente. Hard to find, but if you can get them you’ll love ‘em! Medium bodied, great smoking, perfect construction, these are hard to beat.

►Charles the Great. The best-kept secret in premium cigars, these are made in a small factory in Santa Rosa de Copan, Honduras. Medium bodied, loaded with flavor and exceptionally well made, there isn’t a better cigar for the money anywhere!

►Cohiba. The Dominican version of the popular Cuban brand, these are the cream of the crop – maybe the best quality cigars available in the United States. The Cohiba Black Label has an even fuller, richer taste than the original.

►Excalibur. The super-premium Hoyo de Monterrey brand, these more full-bodied cigars are exceptional in every sense – taste, construction and burn. Hard to beat.

►H. Upmann. The brand has been around forever, but you have to try the new H. UpmannVintage Cameroon. The perfect mid-day smoke to enjoy while listening to me on the radio!

►La Gloria Cubana. Made by Ernesto Perez-Carillo, a true Cuban expert, these cigars are more full-bodied than most Dominicans. Try the La Gloria Cubana Serie R, they are top-of-the line.

►Lamb’s Club. Another of those smaller brands, this Dominican is made with Cameroon wrapper and Cuban seed Dominican long filler. Keep this one a secret among my readers – if too many people find out about it we’ll never be able to get enough of them!

►Macanudo Cafe. The #1 selling premium cigar brand in the world, these cigars are very mild. Also available in 2 other versions, the richer tasting Macanudo Maduro and the even more full flavored Macanudo Robust.

►Montecristo. One of the most recognized brands in the world, these exquisite cigars are medium bodied and exceptionally well made. To treat yourself to a fantastic smoke, try the hearty Montecristo White.

►Oliva. These guys have been making cigars for generations but only in the last few years have become a major player. The Serie G is a terrific smoke.

►Padron. The best cigars made in Nicaragua, Padron is a family owned and operated company turning out fantastic cigars. The vintage Anniversary 1964 are some of the best cigars I’ve ever smoked and the Anniversary 1926 were named the cigars of the year in 2007 by Cigar Aficionado magazine.

►Partagas. An old-time Cuban brand, these have been a top seller for generations. The original version is mild, the Partagas Black Label is my favorite, or if you really want a ton of flavor try the Honduran-wrapped Partagas Spanish Rosado.

►Punch. For an every-day cigar, you can’t beat Punch. Well made, loaded with flavor and affordably priced. Try the Punch Gran Puro if you want a heavier smoke and if you can find them the Punch Rare Corojo is phenomenal.

►Romeo Y Julieta. The fastest growing brand in the U.S., these Dominican made cigars are fantastic smokes. Available in a variety of blends, the Romeo Y Julieta Reserva Real is the mildest and the Romeo Y Julieta Habana Reserve is the most full-bodied.

►Rocky Patel. This brand rose to stardom over the last 10 years and has managed to stay on top by producing consistently great tasting smokes. The 1992 Vintage Ecuadorian wrapped version is an exquisite cigar. You might also try his Sungrown version and his wildly popular The Edge.
