Family is the smallest unit of society. It is composed of people having close ties with intimate love and concern for one another. It could come in a form of ones friends, classmates, workmates, neighbors, collegues and the like.

However in this blog, the family that i want to center is the CHURCH. Most of us have this notion that when we say of a church it is always a place full of seriousness and quiteness. While this is somehow particulary true, but this does not however mean that fun, enjoyment, merrying and celebration are totally out of its concern. As a matter of fact, Church leaders would encourage fellowship activities as these to gear towards the goal of strenghtening the bond of His people which is the true called "church."

Last Tuesday, we've been to a very rich church here in Cebu named Bethany since they invited us to play songs for their Vacation Bible School. With that, they handed us 40,000 pesos as their form of appreciation and gratitude to the orchestra, but our Pastor upon knowing it firmly decided not to accept any as it was purely a form of service and a camaraderie for the Lord's cause and glory. Instead, our Pastor thought of having a Barbecue Party for all us as a reward for that great work of mission to their delight of everyone in the youth.

Wednesday, was that great day of celebration. Everyone were all excited arriving 3 hours before the call time to help the grilling of the barbecues.

• ROL's ever supportive Aunte Cha and Mary Ann, skillfully marinating the taste of the pork with tasteful sauce while grilling it rightly not to get burned.

• Before these young people attacked the barbecue, there was this reminder from our Pastor to always remember God with gratefulness in the heart in the midst of blessings and abundance. With that, they all really listened attentively without a word falling on the ground.

• Now comes the very tasteful barbecue served. Everyone's already biting their lips upon the sight of these barbecues.

• Young people now starting to take and taste barbecues in unlimited orders. They're disguisingly composing themselves even though they are now really hungry. Hahaha.

---

• Klareace and Kaeleb our pastor's niece and nephew respectively eagerly wait for their turn for the icecream and finally they got it. Such really a cute gesture from them.

---

• Our coolest elder in the church, Cristina, trying to talk to the fish that it might not caused her to be overweight instead to make friends with her to maintain diet.

---

And lastly folks, we finished the night with a prayer meeting presenting God some specific prayer points while everyone is sending their plea unto the Lord. With that, our Pastor blew the shofar, the horn of a ram to signify that God will remember his promise to His people.

Truly folks, it's a joy to see everyone in unity and in harmony for that one great call to love of one another and build each other. We though sometimes overlooked these natural moments as these as we are blinded by artificial things. But if we choose to become more appreciative and optimistic to the little things in life, then we will all end up valuing and taking care the beauty generously endowed to us by our creator.

Hopefully fellow steemians, you also have that church with you that serves as your family in times you needed love and encouragement the most. Shalom everyone and we may all celebrate genuine Fellowship with one another.
