Christmas Cookies

in #christmas6 years ago

I try not to over sell Christmas specials, I actually look for a way to temper expectations because they're set to a formula and rushed together over the year.

But are fun to watch.

Christmas Cookies is like that. It's a very predicatble TV movie where you can predict the ending in the first ten minutes.

But it was comfortable.

The basic plot is a business Woman is sent by the head of her company to buy a small cookie company that's going out of business; being run into the red by the new owner, the kind nephew of the original owner who passed away.

Yup. See the ending?

She gets to the town and runs into the Nephew that the town is hoping can save the company, only he's doing a favour for a friend so she thinks he's someone else.

They get along. Until a moment later when she gets angry that he lied to her.

This begins the dance of them falling in love.

There wasn't the usually bickering back and forth between them, it's more of a mutual friendship the builds as she tries to help him be ok with the business plan.

They're charming together though.

It might only be mid-November but I've already watched two Christmas movies, Christmas Eve (2015) & Deck the Halls (2006), and always on the look for something new to get festive with.

Yeah. It starts earlier every year but I don't see it as an issue, it's enjoyable

I love watching Christmas movies; even though they pretty much all have the same format/end result. I watch the holiday specials in July (Christmas in July) and from mid-November all through the season.

Something brings an inner peace to my soul watching these. I know some people say they are cheesy, etc... but hey, get lost in a movie. Makes life a little more bearable some days.
