Wise or Foolish – Proverbs 14:1
The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.
OK, so, here we see two different kinds of women. Wise and foolish. This verse can definitely have an actual fulfillment in real life. Meaning, in how a wise or foolish woman can effect the home. We’re talking about building it up or tearing it down. Extreme opposites. Though this can apply to men just as easily, we see the focus of this verse is on women.
So, my question is, where else do we see wise and foolish women being discussed at the same time? Of course, the parable of the 10 virgins in Matthew 25. There is little debate that parable is talking about the body of Messiah. Believers. But they are all identified as women who are divided into two groups. Wise and foolish. So regardless of our gender, if we claim to be a believer, we are to be the bride. The question is, are we of the wise or the foolish?
Make it your goal today be of the wise women. Those who make themselves ready for the bridegroom.
