Every Arrow

  • According to photographer, director, artist, and entrepreneur Chase Jarvis of "Creative Live," early phase content creators should be prepared to post "50-100 times" before looking up to analyze feedback. Based on experience, he offered that simple formula to deter common discouragement that may lead to quitting. Enjoyment is also emphasized, not unrealistically relying on "clown energy" as many high frequency types portray. In a sermon by Elevation Church Pastor Stephen Furtick, he explained how an archer pulling back on the bow prepares the arrow to reach the target. The greater resistance, the more threatening the arrow. Furtick also emphasized the readiness to use every arrow in the allegorical quill; not to assume the first one will magically find the target. We just saw what happens when a UFC "knock out artist" engages an undefeated Boxer established on careful precision and endurance, not necessarily power: one is looking for that big opportunity while the other accumulates small ones over time. Marathon runners expect perpetual discomfort over literally 10's of thousands of steps. Rapidly initiated relationships and marriages have a greater propensity of unraveling, explosively, due to the basic lack of time investment getting to know each other. There's no doubting our "Quikrete" generation expects to build something solid, fast. Fitness gurus flourish in this rapid-return culture, taking advantage of technological reach to herd the anxious and frustrated. In closing, There are genuine guides out there with helpful testimonies, benevolent instruction, and uplifting content as well, but do not focus so much on the product. If they didn't move in faith, there would be no testimony, no method, no product, or flow of sourceable instruction. There is a reason the principle of faith is not as popular as the "science" and the "method": it has an ultimate proprietor outside this Matrix.
