Measuring Up

When God told us to obey his commandments
He was not joking, that's exactly what he meant
He also told us that if we don't obey his word
He will destroy us if we don't repent

We're not doing what God wants at all anymore
Our wickedness is hastening the Saviors return
God gave us his scriptures and a perfect teacher
He gave us signs to look for if you'll take the time to learn

We will do whatever it takes to make a profit
We lust after wealth and say whatever we have to say
What was right is now wrong and wrong is out of control
We slaughter millions of babies and somehow it's okay

It won't be long in this wicked world
Before the trust in mankind is all but gone
Just because its legal doesn't make it right
We justify and pretend that it's not wrong

God will bless you or destroy you, it's up to you
The truth is in the Bible if you're asking why
You're so worried about money and worldly gains
You should fear what God will do to you when you die
