But there was a certain man, called Simon, which before time in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God. And to him they had regard, because
that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries. But when they believed
Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of
Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. Then Simon himself
believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and
wondered,beholding the miracles and signs which were done. Acts 8:9-13 (KJV)
EXPLAINATION
Our text references the fact that Simon before time bewitched the city of Samaria. The phrase before time could be interchanged with “once upon a time”, which means that it had become history. It is important to highlight that the people of Samaria never
imagined that they could one day be delivered from the strangle hold of the devil, but God
through Phillip set them free . what situation are you currently going through that seems impossible? It will become history in Jesus name. Have you been going through a financial crisis for a long time and there seems to be no way out? I declare it shall move and pass away to become history in Jesus name. It is important to note that Simon
arrived in Samaria and bewitched the city before Phillip got to Samaria, but if we examine the text we would see that Phillip's name was mentioned first even before Simon, because once Phillip arrived, Simon's influence over the city became history.Hence, any negative situation that has taken a hold on your life will be reversed into your past in
Jesus name. What challenges are you going through today? I declare it shall move to your past and not go into your tomorrow in Jesus name. Are you going through an
impossible situation to the extent that your business is about to be liquidated? God shall come through for you and make this situation become history in Jesus name.
Prayer
Father I speak to every negative situation in my life and I declare it shall become history in Jesus name. I declare every barrenness in my life becomes history in Jesus name. I declare that any condition and every sickness associated with by bloodline becomes history in Jesus name
