What is thanksgiving?

Thanksgiving definition, the act of giving thanks; grateful acknowledgment of benefits or favors, especially to God....

The bible says

Ephesians 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;....when Jesus christ was on earth he gave thanks directly to God the Father .....and eph said we should give thanks to God in the name of our lord Jesus Christ.....

Theres no case thanksgiving cant solve......
Case like lazarus thats bringing back the dead to live.....

John 11:17 Then when Jesus came, he found that he had lain in the grave four days already.

11:41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me...

Verse 17 lazarus was dead for 4good days.....science says after a man die for 48 hours his body start to decompose.....you can imagine how many days he was dead....
But in verse 41 a father thank You by our lord Jesus brought the dead from the land of the dead to the land of the living..........REMEMBER OUR TOPIC ......UNVEILING THE POWER OF THANKSGIVING......

so many things thanksgiving can do.....
Do you remember how Jesus Christ fed #5000 people with loaves of bread and fishes.......he Said the same statement FATHER THANK YOU.......and the food multiplied ......

THANKSGIVING BRINGS ABOUT INCREASE,GLORIFICATION

HOW DO I THANK GOD....

i believe there is a way to thank GOD.....
The greatest challenges of believer is IGNORANCE...
Alot are thanking,,,but not alot get bless why simply because they lack the best way to thank GOD...how do i thank GOD....

1. YOU THANK WITH YOUR HEART....

Many are just thanking God with their lips and not with their heart......

Psalms 86:12 I will praise thee, O Lord my God, (((with all my heart))): and I will glorify thy name for evermore..

Im not the writter of the bible you can see it stated with all my heart......so let our heart first of all sing/say the thanks...

Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;.....let our heart first of all sing and make the melody of thanks before our lips...

1. IT HAS TO BE A JOYFUL THANKSGIVING....
   It takes joy for God to accept any thing from you.......the food of GOD is praises...
   For me i love to eat boiled white rice and stew with pepper chicken,,but even if u add goat meat to the pepper chicken and i find shit,,or cockcroach,,,or dead flies inside i will never eat that food like wise GOD ....unjoyful heart of THANKGIVING IS dirtY FOOD TO GOD......that was why i said many thanks but few get bless....

2. THANK HIM WITH WORDS....
   If you leave your thanksgiving to just songs believe you me ,it may not b that effective ....please say some words to GOD.....some romantic words GOD love to hear them.......like praising his name.....THE KING OF KINGS,,,,THE OCEAN DIVIDER,,,THE LION OF THE TRIBE OF JUDEA, THE MIGHTY GOD OF BATTLE,,,WHO CAN WITHSTAND YOUR POWER.....I BELIEVE IF ITS FROM YOUR HEART GOD will just be smiling at your worship/praises....

3. THANK HIM WITH SONGS

4. WITH BODILY EXPRESSIONS...
   Dance before him.....create a new dance step for him...

5. THANK HIM WILLINGLY
   Leviticus 22:29 And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the LORD, offer it at your own will...
   If you are told to thank God before you thank him then you are not thanking....

6. CONSECRATION....
   2 Chronicles 29:31 Then Hezekiah answered and said, Now ye have consecrated yourselves unto the LORD, come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of the LORD. And the congregation brought in sacrifices and thank offerings; and as many as were of a free heart burnt offerings.....

God is in need of your thanksgiving but not from unconsecrated heart......you must be in right stand with GOD....

THINGS WHY PEOPLE DONT THANK HIM WELL AND THEIR CURE....

a)FORGETFULNESS....
Why many cant thank him well is because of the pain today and they forget the gain of yesterday.....hmmmm (powerful word)
It does happen to me until i cultivated the attitude of recording the power act of GOD in my life......i read them and give thanks always..

Psalms 103:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

103:2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and ((((forget not all his benefits:))))

103:3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Remember how GOD HEALED your disease....
What is the cure of forgetfulness ...is to remember......so documentation can help u remember........THE SHORTEST PENCIL IS FAR GREATER THAN THE LONGEST MEMORY........yes yes powerful word

b) UNHEATHY COMPARISM
he is your school mate and he just bought a car doesnt mean you must find a way to buy a car.......convecouesness comes in easily from there.....every fruit has his season and time......if mango comes out in the time of pineapple ...mango might not ripe....yes yes word........remember our topic UNVEILING THE POWER OF THANKSGIVING...

2 Corinthians 10:12 For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise...

Those aint my words but bible...
The cure for comparism is celebrating peoples miracle and wait for yours......the last on the list is

c)CONSIDERING FACT .....
it could be the fact but thats not the true result ...
The fact that i have headeche doesnt mean headache will claim my life.......the fact is that some people die of headache but MY CASE IS DIFFERENT ACCORDING TO WINNER LAST YEAR THEME.....

the fact remain the 2loaves of bread and fish cant feed only brother peter not to talk of #5000 people but THANKSGIVING MULTIPLIED IT .......ALWAYS GIVE THANKS BROTHER AND SISTERS.....I LOVE YOU ALL...SELAH
