The Blessings Of The Law Of YHVH

in #christianity7 years ago

Not One Jot or Title of the Law will fail until heaven and earth pass away.

 Mattithyahu 5:18

Mattithyahu (Matthew) 28:32-40 says the Law is love! Have we accepted His love?

Tehillim (Psalms) 119:1-5  says that the Law is Freedom. Are we free?

Romiyim (Romans) 7:12 says the Law is Holy, Just, and Good. Are we following that which is Holy, Just, and Good?

Romiyim 7:14 says the Law is spiritual. Do we follow that which is spiritual?

Tehillim 19:8 says the Law is Pure? Are we striving to obey this pure law?

Debarim (Deuteronomy )28:8 says the Law is Prosperity? Are we listening?

Tehillim 119:155, 91:4 says the Law is Protection. Are we protected?

Tehillim 119:142,151; 91:4 says the Law is Truth. Are we walking in Truth?

Hoshea (Hosea) 4:6 says the Law is knowledge. Are we walking in knowledge?

Tehillim 19:7 says the Law is Wisdom and is perfect. Are we walking in His Wisdom and perfection?

Debarim 7:15 and Shemoth  15:26 says the Law is Healing. Are we walking in His Healing power?

This is the Law of YHVH (The Lord), it was not put to death on the cross with Yeshua (Jesus).  It is the first five books of your Bible in all translations. Don't be afraid to study it and know it, for it is wisdom for all ages.

Shalom

If we're still under the law then Jesus died for nothing.

(Hebrews 10:1-22 NIV) The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming--not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. {2} If it could, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins. {3} But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins, {4} because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. {5} Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; {6} with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased. {7} Then I said, 'Here I am--it is written about me in the scroll-- I have come to do your will, O God.'" {8} First he said, "Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them" (although the law required them to be made). {9} Then he said, "Here I am, I have come to do your will." He sets aside the first to establish the second. {10} And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. {11} Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. {12} But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God. {13} Since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool, {14} because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. {15} The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says: {16} "This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds." {17} Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more." {18} And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin. {19} Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, {20} by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, {21} and since we have a great priest over the house of God, {22} let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

@barncat, We are not under the law, but the law shows us how to live. It is our school master and teaches us how to walk. I never once said we were under the law. That is different. We obey His commandments because we love Him. Yeshua said if you love me, keep my commandments. There are numerous references from the New Testament given and there are many more. Shalom

I usually completely disagree with barncat but this time they have a point.

Yeshua said if you love me, keep my commandments

What are the commandments?

1 John 3:22-24

22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

We are to believe in Jesus and love each other. It's very simple. The law was given to Israel. Through Jesus we are not under the law but under grace. The Law is fulfilled in Christ.

YHVH was not given to Israel alone. There was one law for everyone, including the nations.

King James Bible
Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am the LORD your God. Lev. 24:22

Most Christians keep nine of the ten commandments for example. And as for most of the laws given to Moses that apply to us today, most Christians keep. Love is the essence of the law.

You can't pick and choose which Old Testament laws to follow. You either follow all of them or none of them.

(Matthew 5:18 NIV) I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.

UNTIL EVERYTHING IS ACCOMPLISHED. It was accomplished on the cross when Jesus was crucified. We are no longer under Old Testament law.

The laws are divided into groups. Some apply only to women, some to mature women, some younger women, some men, some for the temple, the priests, Levites, and so on. At the end of many laws are the words, that we are to do that for ALL our generations. We are not UNDER the law, but out of love we obey His commands. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

ONE EXAMPLE
King James Version
Exodus 31:16
Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
