The Light Of God In Us

It's another awesome Sunday and as usual, we can't end the week without giving thanks to our Lord, God Almighty. He has been faithful and just to us throughout the week, so we have nothing to say but to say Thank You Lord.
Today been the 3rd Sunday of February, I would like us to meditate upon the theme;

The Light Of God In Us

John 8:12

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

The Bible makes us to understand that God is Light, which means that so far as we call ourselves his children and abide by his rules, we are also the children of Light. And it is this light in us that makes us shine when we are in the midst of unbelievers. The light in us makes us to portray great things people could ever imagine. In the realms of the spirit we are light and everywhere we move we shine, darkness moves away from us, that is why our life is bright always.

God's light in us keeps shining the more we trust in Him and obey everything he asks of us in the Scriptures. When we walk with God this way, we walk in His light. Walking in His light means our mindset and perceptions are to be sorely on the things of God but not of the things of man. The things of man bring eternal death and suffering while that of God brings eternal life. We are therefore to view our lives only from the perspective of God's Word.

The word of God is the only fuel to our light and it's under this light that the impossible becomes possible. Victory is ours and we will continue to walk in His glory.

So far as we have decided to follow Christ, there would be darkness or uncertainties as we journey through life. But this light of God in us will help us overcome every powers of darkness.

We are supposed to shine. Quite recently, I indicated that the Scriptures are like scripts given to actors. One acts what the script says one is. If for example, the script says one is to act as a rich or CEO, one has to act in synchronization with what is said about Him in the script.

Let's all arise and shine for our light has come to shine. We must arise. We must see that we have a role in our shining. Let's study the Scriptures and what is said of us so we can act accordingly in that manner.
