How God really sees you

Not mere information

Many may have heard the truth that God loves them. But few have actually experienced His love. God's love is not a mere fact. Not information. Not an intellectual truth to be grasped--indeed it cannot be. Rather, it is a love that passes knowledge (Ephesians 3:19). It is a love that must be experienced.

Supernatural transformation

As we fill our minds with the truth about how God really feels about us, the Spirit touches our heart with power and gives us revelation. By meditating on the truths about God's love for us as revealed in the Bible, God gives us living understanding of a truth.

God deeply desires your heart

Jesus' inheritance is the hearts of His people. The more we understand how much He loves us, we are empowered to love Him in return. His desire for us fuels our desire for Him.
God loves all mankind. But He also enjoys His children! God tells us "I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you." (Jeremiah 31:3) This everlasting love is the same love with which the Father has loved Jesus. Jesus tells us this in John 15:9 when He says "just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love." God the Father loves you with the same measure of love with which He loves Jesus! Wow!

God's thoughts toward us

God's precious thoughts towards us would outnumber the sands on the sea if counted (Psalm 139:17-18). God gives us a glimpse into His heart in Song of Songs 4:7 when He says to us, "You are all fair, my love, and there is no spot in you." Jesus says this to a Bride that still has compromise in her life. But God focuses on the positive in our life--on the budding virtues--and calls them out. He "calls those things which do not exist as though they did" (Romans 4:17). Even though we are not perfect He says we have no spot/blemish on us. He calls us beautiful and says we are the one He loves.

Clean and desired

He does this because He knows that when we feel clean we will live far more cleanly. If your spouse feels clean and cherished they will live that way. If they feel dirty and despised then they will live far more dirty. God does not want us to feel any shame but rather draw near to Him because He wants to draw near to You. (James 4:8) He actually beckons us to come near Him. Even when we sin. Because He is the one who will clean us up. Not ourselves. In Song of Songs 2:14
Jesus says, "Oh my dove, in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet and your face is lovely."

Prayer

God thank you that you do not see as men see! Let me see what you see and feel what you feel about me! Help me to feel clean and desired! Thank you that you love when I draw near to You! Thank you that You say my voice is sweet to you and my face is lovely! I will let you hear my voice in worship and prayer even now Lord! Here I am, Lord! Behold, the one you love! I come before you and show you my face! I ask for the same confidence in your love that John had! Cause me to lean on Your heart! Root me and ground me in Your love! Cause me to truly know that I am the one You love, in whom is all Your delight! I love you God! You are so good!
