The Word and Prayer: Treasure in Jars of Clay

2 Corinthians 4:7-10
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

Thank you Lord being my refuge and my source of strength in times of hardship. You are my ever present helper in times of trouble. Father, I know that you are the only, all-knowing and all-powerful God and nothing that is too difficult in my life for you to deal with.

Thank you because you are my source of strength and your grace is sufficient for all the tasks and duties that will cross my daily path – not only for today but for the rest of my journey through life.

Help me to carry around all the time in my body the selfless life of Jesus, so that I may live in the eternal hope of His resurrected life. Amen!
