Human nature refers to the distinguishing characteristics—including
ways of thinking, feeling, and acting—which humans tend to have
naturally

Humans are the highest forms of animals. Though we share some common characteristics, human are considered unique because of knowledge and will. by knowledge means we have the ability to think. By will means the desire to do something after considering its consequences.

The Bible teaches us that humans are created in His own image. This means that our human nature reflects some of His attributes, though in a limited way. Because again, human as we are, we have our flaws.

We love because we are made by God who is Himself a loving God.

Beloved, let us love one another because love comes from God. He who
does not love does not know God. Because God is love .

> I John 4:7 - 8

Because we are created in His image, we can be loving, compassionate, patient, just. Yet, these attributes can be distorted by sin which is also in our nature because of Adam and Eve. There is now the battle between the good and the bad in us. Sin draws man away from God. But the good news is, when we learn to admit that we have sinned and ask for forgiveness, the Lord is just to forgive us our sins. Then, we have our new nature.

II Corinthians 5:17 tells us;

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is
a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come.

We are now a new creation. The old self, the old nature shall have no power over us. Let us strive to do what is good, what is right, and what is pleasing in the eyes of God.
