I pray that the Holy Spirit will reveal all that we are going to do in this studies.
" 1 Cor 2: 10 But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God."

We are studying other biblical descriptions of God whereby God reveals His character to us. Some would see this also as more of God's attributes.

GOD IS TRUTH

MEANING - Everything God is, says and does conform perfectly to ultimate reality.

KEY VERSES

Isaiah 45:19
"I have not spoken in secret,
In a dark place of the earth;
I did not say to the seed of Jacob,
‘Seek Me in vain’;
I, the Lord, speak righteousness,
I declare things that are right."

Titus 1:1
Paul, a bondservant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect and the acknowledgement of the truth which accords with godliness, 2 in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began

John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 16:13
However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.

EXPLANATION

• What God says is absolutely correct, accurate and reliable.

• God cannot lie or falsely represent anything.

• God's words are always true -

Psalm 119:160 The entirety of Your word is truth,
And every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.

• God's Word, the Bible, is accurate, correct and without error.

John 17:17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.

• Truth is embodied in Jesus Christ.

John 14:17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

• Whatever does not agree with God is false.

1 John 4:4-6 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. 6 We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
