All of us are created unique with different assignments for the earth . In order to fulfil our callings ,we must learn to focus on what we have been called to do.
However, people don't always think this way. Instead ,they allow comparison to wound their hearts and bring in envy towards every other person who is doing something else and succeeding. They get annoyed that another man is fulfilling his call. Such reaction is what the Bible calls an evil eye:
Mark 7:21-22
[21]For from within, [that is] out of the hearts of men, come.…… an evil eye (envy)".
When you are moved to jealousy because of what another has or has achieved, it is because your heart is not right. The right heart and attitude is to be pleased with others when they succeed and for you to aspire not to succeed above them but to be the very best God has made you to be. "
Nobody SUCCESS/ACHIEVEMENT is a Yardstick to Measuring Yours" . It is not God's intention that all of us follow one line of business but it is His goodwill that we be the best He made us to be in different fields and that is why we have the HOLYGHOST in us to lead and teach us.
Don't expect things to work out for you as they did to your friends or neighbor. God will settle you when it is time. If all you do is be envious, you should be careful to ask yourself, who will rejoice with me "sincerely" when I get my own blessing ?.
We resolve as children of God never to turn an evil eye towards anything/body. So help us God in Jesus Name Amen.

Mark 4:8-9 tells me that if we are filled with His spirit, lead by his will, working for his glory, being light and salt, working to bring his kingdom here on Earth as it is in Heaven, then we are his people, and whether our fruit is less or more than another follower, is not our concern.
Any success we have is the Lords, and he uses those he uses, how he uses, so again, its important not to focus on how we "measure-up", and whether we love and serve with all our heart, mind, strength and soul.

8Still other seed fell on good soil, where it sprouted, grew up, and produced a crop — one bearing thirtyfold, another sixtyfold, and another a hundredfold.” 9Then Jesus said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
