FIRE

1 Corinthians 3 [13]Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

You know, i'd like to think the verse of the scripture that i coted about is valid at the end of the world but i got a new perspective this morning as the Holy Spirit expounded the scriptures to me.

Fire as you know it is very important yet deadly to the human race. We will do well to crown one major source of heat or fire - the sun as the first or the most abundant on earth (I stand to be corrected!). But in this context I am relating it to our life.

My heart caught fire (even now as i write) when i understood that at intervals in the life of man, fire comes to test what we have built in every sect of our lifes. Check it and you will know and understand that the things that you are holding on to till date as your core values are those things that have withstood the fire. Fire are the challenges we face, some call it problems.

Your life today is the result of all the challenges you have faced.

Some of the habits that we have today are as a result of we passing through fires. Thus i will like to point out three things that reveal the results of fire in our lives.

Character

Your continous or constant reaction or response to circumstances, this might be that of faith, hope or unbelieve, depression, and other bad ones - you know them. Its is easy for we humans to judge human characters as we see them without taking a critical look at the history of the fire they went through. I have a friend who cannot easily trust people again because the person had been duped before.

The character that have today has long been resilient in you, it was only revealed by fire when the time came.

Words

This is noticeable easily in the life anyone who has gone through certain fires. If you hear me speak today, more often you will hear me say ‘God is working' or ‘it is well' because of the fire i had gone through - that is what i came out with.

Your words are the report sheets of how you perform after you came through fire.

Decision

Your decisions are greatly affected by the fire you passed through. Sometimes at the time we passed through fire, silent suggestions come to us, and as we yield to them, they form a major decision that directs our live in a particular course.

My take

• When the Lord makes you to pass through fire, it is his own way of prunning you, or removing the dross, from you so stay calm under His power
• There some relationship you are into now that will give way when you pass through fire.
• You will do yourself much good if you will trust God in your fires.
• Do you have a conviction? Wait until the fire tests it, then you truly will know if you had the conviction or the conviction had you.

My Response

• Lord give me character that can stand any form of fire.
• Lord give me convictions in you that can stand the test of time or fire.
• Lord take away from me ANYTHING that will not stand the test of time and FIRE, in Jesus name. Amen
