Antihustler DTube Vlog #12 - Are you using chatbots in your business?

What is a chatbot, and how can you use it in your business?

To start with, here's an example of one that I use as part of my affiliate marketing business.

As you can see, it's interactive and a more enjoyable experience than simply receiving an email with a promotional offer.

There are a number of benefits of using chatbots, but the most obvious is that they get open rates of around 90% (Mine is sitting at 89% at the time of writing). The click through rates on links is really high at over 17% as well. This figure will vary greatly depending on the niche, how people subscribed, the quality of the bot, and the frequency of communication. I've had CTR's (click through rates) as high as 30% on chatbots at times.

Compare this with email marketing. Did you know the average person receives 147 emails per day. Imagine as a marketer how hard it is to compete with 146 other email marketers. In some niches (such as the internet marketing niche), a good open rate is 15%, and a good click through rate is 2%. The stats speak for themselves really.

I would caution anyone that is looking to implement chatbots in their business to be capturing emails as well. Whilst the open rates, and general level of engagement is far higher with chatbots, the issue is that as a marketer you don't own the subscribers. It is not an asset you can take with you. The risk in this case is that if Facebook decides to change its policies, or decides chatbots are no longer in the interest of the platform then you have essentially lost a chunk of your business overnight. Not exactly ideal!

So that's a brief overview of chatbots. Are you using them in your business? What's your experience been?
