10 STEEM Bounty : Chartpattern and statistics

in #chart5 years ago (edited)

We often refers to chart patterns as being bullish or bearish.

I am looking for some references books, websites or databases that show some real data and probabilities for these.

Ideally for crypto but others would be fine as well.

Sort:

I do not have books on this topic. But I recommend following and checking the daily crypto contests by @maarnio here on steem. He posts when a coin is breaking out of its pattern and then we vote to say if we think the coin will beat, drop, or stay in the trading range.

He also does monthly summaries of how the coins did and this is very interesting to see. I think for most of the reports I have seen, the wisdom of the crowd wins out.

I'm a big loser when I vote since my only choice is to "beat." I believe in karma, but recently it has not been working!

@knircky has set 10.000 STEEM bounty on this post!

Hello, I recommend the book:
High-Probability Trade Setups: A Chartists Guide to Real-Time Trading by Timothy Knight

In addition these sites have free resources with very complete information about the topic:
https://tradingstrategyguides.com/4-methods-for-how-to-scan-the-forex-market-for-high-probability-trade-setups/
https://www.tradingwithrayner.com/high-probability-trading/

Here are the two books I would recommend for the stock market day traying:

  1. "Start Trading Now" by Michael Sincere. I remember it to be an easy read.
  2. "A Complete Guide to Volume Price Analysis" by Anna Coulling. This wasn't as easy of a read. However, it focuses more on explaining candlesticks, charts, chart patterns, and price action. If you google the title, it will show a pdf version, you could take a look before buying.

Hey, i know some data websites and you might be interested take a look:
http://charts.woobull.com/bitcoin-nvt-ratio/
About NVT Ratio
NVT Ratio (Network Value to Transactions Ratio) is similar to the PE Ratio used in equity markets.

When Bitcoin`s NVT is high, it indicates that its network valuation is outstripping the value being transmitted on its payment network, this can happen when the network is in high growth and investors are valuing it as a high return investment, or alternatively when the price is in an unsustainable bubble.

https://www.tradingview.com is a good source of data,TA, and always that shows real data.
https://www.signalprofits.com/ At Signal Profits, short term to mid term strategies using a back-tested, proven trading system that focuses more on technical analysis of the cryptocurrency markets.

Very interesting article; much valuable info about crypto charts and more.
I hope you find it useful ;)

This guys blog is pretty good, especially this post. https://hackernoon.com/the-cryptocurrency-trading-bible-two-the-seven-deadly-sins-of-technical-analysis-cacd04f916b3 personally I think most TA is nonsense, it's hard not to comment on the TA overkill I see here. Don't catch a falling knife and invest in the rising stars are two rules I follow. Buy low sell high baby! Here's an investopedia link too https://www.investopedia.com/university/technical/techanalysis8.asp obviously because of how the markets have been the past century the likelihood of a bullish pattern is greater than a bearish one. Even the pros can't predict the market.

Here’s a great collection of resources that a few of us collaborated on.

friend i dont know any such site right now. but you can take hbelp from google

This is the best book I have found on candlestick charting patterns and probabilities. My crypto mentor highly recommends it as well.

I don´t think there are many good books on this subject because crypto is recent and very volatile. But saying that...

One book that I really recommend about trading and learning the best ways to do it is: Buffett: The Making of an American Capitalist. Although Buffett is adverse to crypto, we can't ignore the fact of how successful he is!

Then I would choose something like this: Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom by Van Tharp.
Related to crypto:

  • Cryptocurrency Investing Bible: The Ultimate Guide About Blockchain, Mining, Trading, ICO, Ethereum Platform, Exchanges, Top Cryptocurrencies for Investing and Perfect Strategies to Make Money - I´m interested in reading this one (but I don´t know yet if he is good)

But, I'm on a similar situation as you are, I´m very curious to see if anyone as found a really awesome book based on crypto terms.
