[For independence]Spain Catalonia Referendum to decide the future
Spain's Catalan Autonomous Region government announced that this year on October 1 held an independent referendum, expected to encounter the central government resistance.
The president of the autonomous region, Carles Puigdemont, delivered a television address in the capital of Baselon and declared that the referendum was entitled "Do you want Catalonia to become an independent country in the form of a republic?" He refers to the date and title of the Madrid government Refused to co-operate, they decided unilaterally, "we have provided many programs, but all refused," to describe the referendum is imperative, but still hope to dialogue with Madrid.
Recent polls show that 49% of Catalans are opposed to independence, 44% support, nearly 3/4 of respondents want to hold a referendum. The local population of about 7.5 million, accounting for about 1/10 of the whole of Spain, the economic income is the country two percent, coupled with a unique language, culture and historical background, so that the locals of Spain spin.
The Government of Catalonia has held an independent referendum in 2014, but the Spanish Constitutional Court has made the referendum illegal, so that the referendum can only be held in informal form, the vote rate of about 42%, of which more than 80% support independence.

Thanks for highlighting this. I know it was a big issue a couple of years back but had died down since the eta disarmament.
Looks like there'll also be some euro wobbles into the end of the year as german elections and a possible italian one as well
