Venezuela, Bolivia and Brazil are the countries that suffered the most attacks in recent months, most of which were aimed at stealing money, according to the report presented Monday by the Russian company during a congress in Panama on cybersecurity.

"As in 2017, Brazil continues to lead Latin American countries in terms of hosting malicious sites, since 50% of the hosts (servers) located in Latin America that were used in attacks against users from all over the world are located in this country. ", The company said in a statement.

Most of these attacks occurred online (while browsing or downloading files) and affected more domestic users than companies, the report said.

According to Kaspersky Lab, the preferred period for cybercriminals to carry out phishing attacks in Latin America is the massive shopping spree called "Black Friday" or "Black Friday".
