INFANCIA (RELATO DE LA ABUELA)

Días atrás me encontré volviendo a lugares donde el tiempo me dejó buenos recuerdos de mi corta infancia. Y digo corta con convicción, pues, fuí de esa generación que, por ser hija mayor debía ayudar a mis padres. Ellos, en aquel tiempo, trabajaban, se ganaban , por así decirlo, el pan de cada día, de 7 a.m hasta las 5 p.m, pero eramos felices y no lo sabíamos.

En fin, volviendo al tema de mi infancía, tuve la oportunidad de aprender muchas cosas, aún a mi corta edad, los quehaceres del hogar eran mi tarea diaria, claro no todo, pero si para mi edad algunas rutinas. Entre esas tareas era velar por la limpieza de la casa, lavar algo de ropa, calentar comida, ayudar a mis 4 hermanos menores con sus tareas escolares, o si alguno enfermaba, estar pendiente, hasta que llegaran mis padres, en fin, yo veía que para mi era mucho, pero hasta hoy día, me ha servido bastante y agradezco a mi madre haberme puesto responsabilidades que hoy me son de utílidad.

Por supuesto, esas responsabilidades a tan corta edad, me hicieron ver las cosas muy distintas. Por ejemplo, el tener un hogar y atenderlo, no es cosa de juego, mucho menos el tener hijos, pues, requiere una enorme responsabilidad estar pendientes de ellos, enseñarles y hacerles ver la importancia de los valores día a día.

No es nada facíl, la verdad, y es una de las razones por las que hay que pensar muy bien las cosas antes de hacerlas. Siempre yo decía a mis adentros: "-Cuando seré mayor para salir de este tormento-" jejeje, resulta que mientras más mayor eres, más responsabilidad tienes. Claro está, personalmente lo veo así por lo que me tocó vivir desde los 8 años de edad. Por eso siempre aconsejo a mis nietos y a cualquier joven que desea ser mayor para ser libre: "LA LIBERTAD NO ES HACER TODO LO QUE QUIERAS, ES HACER LO QUE PUEDAS CON CONCIENCIA, PORQUE TODO LO QUE HAGAS TIENE SUS CONSECUENCIAS". -Relatado por una abuela-

They, at that time, worked, they earned, so to speak, the daily bread, from 7 a.m to 5 p.m, but we were happy and we did not know it.

In short, returning to the subject of my childhood, I had the opportunity to learn many things, even at my young age, household chores were my daily task, of course not everything, but for my age some routines. Among those tasks was to ensure the cleanliness of the house, wash some clothes, heat food, help my 4 younger siblings with their homework, or if anyone became ill, be aware, until my parents arrived, in short, I saw that for me was a lot, but to this day, it has served me well and I thank my mother for having given me responsibilities that today are useful to me.

Of course, those responsibilities at such a young age made me see things very differently. For example, having a home and caring for it is not a matter of play, much less having children, since it requires an enormous responsibility to be aware of them, to teach them and to make them see the importance of values day by day.

It's not easy, really, and it's one of the reasons why you have to think things through before doing them. I always said to myself: "When I will be older to get out of this torment-" hehehe, it turns out that the older you are, the more responsibility you have. Of course, I personally see it that way because of what I had to live from 8 years of age. That's why I always advise my grandchildren and any young person who wants to be older to be free:"FREEDOM IS NOT DOING EVERYTHING YOU WANT, IT'S DOING WHAT YOU CAN WITH CONSCIENCE, BECAUSE EVERYTHING YOU DO HAS ITS CONSEQUENCES"-Related by a grandmother-
