Lost Memories on the Padma Bridge and a New Beginning Every journey in life creates some memories.

Hello,CCS friends!

I am @maksudakawsar
From Bangladesh

Assalamu Alaikum

How are you all? I hope everyone is having a good day. I am also doing well. Being well is not only necessary for ourselves, but also a happy thing for the people around us. Because when we are well, our body and mind become well. And then our life becomes happy. Those of you who read my blog regularly must know that I like to travel a little. And whenever I get time, I go to a green environment surrounded by nature. To pamper myself a little. For example, a few days ago I came back for some time with my friend nature. A few days ago I went to visit the Taj Mahal and Rajmoni shooting spots of Bengal's love. However, that day I took several photographs there. Which may not be shared with you in one day. So today I am going to share some photography. I hope you will like it too.

Every journey in life creates some memories. Sometimes they are colorful, sometimes painful. A few days ago, while returning from Jessore to Dhaka, an unexpected event happened in my life, which not only gave me a new mobile phone, but also a new understanding. The few days spent in Jessore were great. The serenity of nature, the sincerity of the people—all in all, it was a very good time. While returning to Dhaka, I was sitting next to the window of the bus and crossing the Padma Bridge. I didn't want to lose that moment. So I picked up my mobile phone and started taking pictures. As the bus was moving over the bridge, a sudden scene caught my eye—the sun was peeking out from behind the clouds, and that light was falling evenly on the water of the Padma. I took out my mobile phone and went to take pictures, and right then—in a flash, the mobile phone fell from my hand onto the bridge!

At first, I couldn't believe that this really happened. My chest immediately trembled. It wasn't just a phone—it contained my countless photos, necessary documents, and personal memories. The bus was still moving slowly, so I requested the driver to stop for a moment. The bus was stopped, and I quickly got off. A unit of police patrolling the Padma Bridge was nearby. I explained the incident. They were quite sympathetic. One of them went with me to look for the mobile phone. A little further on, the mobile phone was seen lying on the concrete on the left side, but... the scene was heartbreaking. At least two or three trucks and cars had run over it. The mobile phone's screen was shattered, the back case was broken, the battery was swollen. In a word—unusable.

I stood there with the mobile phone in my hand for a while. A kind of disappointment, a continuous sigh. Not just an electronic device, it was like a piece of my memory. Although I felt some relief from the sincerity of the police members, the disappointment inside still remained.
The first thing I did after returning to Dhaka was to buy a new mobile phone. In today's era, not a single day goes by without a mobile phone—civil life, communication, payment, social media—everything seems to be tied to a single mobile phone. So without thinking, I went straight to the nearest Vivo showroom. As soon as I got there, I realized that buying a mobile phone requires not only technical specifications, but also a kind of mental preparation—the decision to step away from the memories of the old one and step into a new world.

After much thought, I finally chose a new Vivo smartphone. When I held it in my hand and turned on its display for the first time, I felt a little shocked—will it become as familiar as the previous one? Will those old photos still be stored in it? Can the relationship I had with the old mobile phone be re-created? Over time, I realized—yes, it will. Just as we overcome the shocks of life and start walking again, in this world of technology, a new mobile phone is also a new possibility. The old one is gone, but a new story can be started with the new one. Maybe not the same as before, but not completely unfamiliar. After getting a new mobile, I gradually returned to my old routine. Taking pictures on the new mobile, setting up apps, restoring data from the cloud—I started organizing everything one by one. Some data was lost, it is true, but I consoled myself by saying—even if everything is lost, life does not stop.
