RE: Scenes of a Walk
Thank you! It is a local park actually, it's just that the county isn't spending much maintaining it in the last years, or decades, to be precise ;) So Nature manages to do its best at reclaiming some territory :)
This NY eve was actually much calmer than usual as I guess people have been worried about the EUR adoption, usually it's like a battleground around that lasts for hours but now just here and there and everything done in 15 minutes or so. Last year our cats were gone for hours and now they were waiting me by the door just after the last fireworks... :)
Apparently, it was a mess here and there. Upset people because the gov said it's the last year fireworks are allowed.
Not very smart to announce that in December.
You still have money left after it's exchanged for euros? It did cost us 30% of our savings and income.
Enjoy the euro.. I can't wait till we are out.
A great, relaxed start for you and the cats!
♥️🍀
Yup, it was in the local news, that change of your and even how the fireworks store owners would eventually (not) be compensated by the gov :))) So logical for people to overreact and say "F you gov" in their own ways :)
You know, one of the "funniest" things here, we've been regularly blasted on the news by gov representatives claiming they will oversee and guarantee the prices don't explode and then the gov itself rises the prices for IDs and passport with almost 100% by 1 Jan 2026. Hypocrites.
Quite conveniently, the parliament voted for and went on a Christmas "vacation" from 19 Dec to 12 Jan (bloody almost a month...) and the government resigned just after two-three days of protests so now they have a good excuse to only do what's good for them in terms of the forthcoming elections. No real/useful work done otherwise. My guess - the pump will be bigger than expected for many... We have a saying: "Риба се лови най-добре в мътна вода" :)
Unfortunately it all feels exactly like a well prepared screenplay, in the last months...
A pleasant first evening to you! :)
