Hello dear friends,
I hope you all are doing well and spending a beautiful life with your loved ones. I wish you all happiness and peace.

In life, many journeys happen suddenly, completely unplanned. Yesterday was one of those days. After finishing my office work, I decided late at night to travel from Dhaka to Brahmanbaria. The purpose was urgent — to sit with my family and discuss sending my younger brother abroad.

Around 9:30 at night, I boarded the Mohanagar Express from the Airport Railway Station in Dhaka. This train usually stops at only a few selected stations — Narsingdi, Bhairab, and then Brahmanbaria. Leaving behind the city’s noise and the day’s rush, the train sped ahead into the night. The darkness outside, the occasional flicker of lights, and the rhythmic sound of the wheels on the tracks — together, they created a different kind of feeling, almost peaceful.

By 12:30 a.m., I reached Brahmanbaria Railway Station. Even at that hour, the station was not empty. Busy passengers, people carrying luggage, smoke rising from tea stalls and cigarette stands — everything combined to create a unique atmosphere of the night station. From there, I took an auto rickshaw to Kautuli Station, and then a CNG-run taxi straight to my birthplace — Syedabad village, under Kasba Police Station in Brahmanbaria.

The cool night breeze, the quiet roads, and the shadows of trees along the way — it felt like the tiredness of city life was slowly fading away. By the time I reached home, it was already 1:30 in the morning. Despite the long journey, the joy of meeting my family brought a different kind of warmth. After a meal and some late-night conversations, I finally went to sleep.

The main purpose of this trip was to discuss sending my younger brother abroad. Currently, he lives in Uttara, Dhaka, but due to some personal and family matters, we feel it’s necessary for him to move overseas as soon as possible and build a better future for himself. The whole family sat together — parents, siblings, relatives — everyone shared their opinions. But here’s the challenge: my younger brother doesn’t want to go.

We’re all trying to convince him, because the circumstances are almost forcing us to make this decision. If he goes abroad, it will improve his life and help solve some of our family problems as well. But at the end of the day, the decision is his to make. In this situation, my sister and brother-in-law have been given the special responsibility of trying to convince him. Everyone in the family wishes for his well-being — that he may travel safely and secure a good future.

Though the journey was rushed, I feel I did the right thing at the right time. Sometimes in life, you have to make quick decisions, especially when it’s tied to the future of your family.

This trip to Brahmanbaria may have been short, but it was filled with emotions — the joy of returning to my birthplace, the warmth of spending time with family, and the concern over my brother’s future. All of it has left a mark on my heart. Now, I’m just waiting for one thing — for my younger brother to understand, to gather courage, and to take this important step forward in life.

Thanks all
