Lost Souls

in CCC2 days ago (edited)

Can you hear my voice, feel my heart and do you listen to the words of a broken, lost soul?

Words written over 600 years ago and nothing has changed.

Jij bent altijd in mijn gedachten.

... When I’m inside,
My heart aches so much
With love for you
Having been hurt for so long and so often
Wherever I go or turn,
I can’t find peace, day or night
Wherever I go or turn,
You’re always on my mind.

They say you get used to it – to a broken heart – but that is certainly not true; there are people who die due to a broken heart, from unfulfilled longing. The lost souls on earth and in the afterlife.

Honesty, loving someone ought to be a beautiful thing, but the opposite is true. The average poet, singer and filmmaker knows all about it, and some make a good living from it, whilst another part of humanity tries to use that sense of being torn apart to create something. Those who fail to do so either perish or take their own lives. Birds of feather are extremely rare.
Is this a sign of weakness? I don’t think so. No two people are the same; we cannot see into another’s heart. In that respect, feelings are elusive. Only those who have found true love – a love without a business-like arrangement – know what it means to love and to suffer.

Now, you might say that there is no better entertainment than schadenfreude, but a broken heart is not something to be taken lightly.
Mutual love should be something everyone is entitled to and which makes the world a better place. Happy people radiate positive energy, unlike lost souls.

I make Rubén Darío’s words my own—words that immortalize pain through his poetry:

Blessed is the tree, which is barely
sentient,
and more so the hard stone, for it feels nothing at all,
for there is no pain greater than the
pain of being alive,
nor a heavier burden than conscious life.

Life is also about living it as it comes. Loving oneself first and foremost. Nothing lasts forever; pain passes, and love passes.
Do not lose yourself in the valleys of silence; your pen and your art are an example I admire. You have my respect.

In Celtic history the stones are the Elderly and the wisest. They hear and see everything. It is not said they do not feel because they do not express, although if you hold them they feel warm or cold, smooth or hard. The same counts for trees. They feel, plants feel pain and respond. If you talk to them they grow, even if it is only a few words. Trees get cancer from people, radiation... There are also tree huggers. Darío is wrong. For sure he is not one with nature and not high sensible.

This for sure is right to a very big group, not everyone:

for there is no pain greater than the
pain of being alive,
nor a heavier burden than conscious life.

And if comes to these words:

Life is also about living it as it comes. Loving oneself first and foremost. Nothing lasts forever; pain passes, and love passes.

In a constructed world where everyone is forced to live according to the rules and if not filthy rich there's no way to take life as it comes, you are punished if you show the slightest way of selfishness, will be scolded, abused, beaten up.

Trust me pain lasts forever. It doesn't pass, will not be forgotten.
Some might get out while others sink, or are kicked, deeper and deeper into the swamp, with help of those few they thought would be close family or friends since there love wasn't there at the first place.

True love exists, but is fought in this world most by family, relatives and friends/society.

Thank you so much for your your support. I wish you a great week.

It's painful but at least one could take that pain and turn it into something else

They might, or at least that is what the critique believes it doesn't mean that it relieves or the feelings are gone and life is easier.
