The bigger the better?

I doubt, this is the case. What is petite can have way more value. The same counts for what is done quickly instead of "taking the time".
The thing is that the brain works differently and the unconscious is easily ignored if we start thinking about what to do first.

Of course, it feels super to achieve something and being called the creator of something huge. Without any doubt it is noticed more easily by more people because it cannot be ignored, but does that mean it is better or great?

For now I like to keep it as simple as possible and do it quick!

What is the idea of quick paintings with few details?
A five-minute painting (or drawing) helps to look differently, avoiding investing a lot of time in details which do not matter. It is more about the 'idea', the contours and values. It is not a waste of time or material. It helps to develop different styles (or one's own style), to test the materials in different ways and be creative. In this case the quicker you work the more you learn.
Is bigger better? It can be if it takes some time to figure out how to work.

It is a fun things to work this way and even in busy days because of budiness it stimulates to continue creating.
