RE: Does commenting cause cancer?

in CCC16 days ago

Very short and to the point. I agree, commenting is a key. But, people get busy to read from time to time. Plus, there is no one who has the time to read all of the posts on daily basis. But, if we all do a small part of it, this can be a more interactive place.

I remember that @wakeupkitty was talking about this some time back as well.

Sort:

It is very true that no one has the time to read all the posts; I would say that is impossible. But you don't have to do that. A few would suffice, as long as you don't just pass by and leave without a trace, without even leaving a comment. Of course, many people, myself included, don't like it when we read a comment that is so simple and generic that it doesn't provoke a response. For example, “Well written” or “Good post,” with nothing else to read, is not at all pleasant, just like a comment that makes no sense and has nothing to do with what you just read... Not to mention those who copy and paste the same thing over and over again in different posts. I don't think @wakeupkitty is the only user who thinks that way.

But anyway, my friend, giving your opinion and commenting, apart from being essential and bringing life and interaction to the platform, is simply a right that we can all exercise and an option that we can all choose. Not to mention that it can also help us foster better alliances and forge better friendships on this social network.

Doing this, my friend, has helped me build a good friendship with @gertu and @paholags, just to mention a few of my friends on the platform.

Thank you for mentioning me so that I can comment on it.
In the CCC community, we always encourage and reward users who leave good comments in some way. I also tell you that you are right when you say that it is not very pleasant to read a single "thank you" when you have made a comment that should generate a more thoughtful and detailed response.
There are also many communities outside of CCC that encourage good comments and I'm glad to participate in them. I encourage people who join to give answers that lead to greater user participation and encourage others to participate in them.
What can you say about it @lupega?

My opinion is: I read the posts, I try to give a good comment, in fact some of them have better value than a post that obviously takes more work, I think that the users I follow make a post dedicating time and effort and it is fair to give a good comment

Of course it's fair to give a good comment, my friend... If we read and vote, why not comment? Sometimes votes go unnoticed by the recipient (if the voter doesn't have enough power, the person will not be notified of that vote). Notification of a comment always reaches that user, regardless of the Steem Power of the person who posted it... I think that's an advantage of posting comments, one that not everyone understands.

So, if I'm assuming it's a big advantage, then why post a generic comment or one that doesn't make sense? That's a question I ask myself many times when I come across comments like that.

Well, my friend @gertu, who has been interacting with me for a while, knows very well that this is something I do not agree with.

Exactly the notification always arrives, I like to comment, I try to make a comment directly related to the topic of the post

That's right. It's better to leave a good comment than just say thank you and nothing more.
Sometimes they just copy and paste, and other details that we sometimes see in the minor comments.
I think that is a lack of respect for the person who writes the publication, by leaving comments that we don't even know what they say, or they only write what is said in the publication.
@lupega is a good commentator, I can attest to that.

Thank you so much, @saintkelvin17

example, “Well written” or “Good post,”

I think that these have been excessively to the point that they don't seem true anymore as they're too generic.

My friend, sometimes it's not so much that they aren't true, but that they are so simple and repetitive that we might even ask ourselves: How hard would it have been to come up with a better response?

Especially when we've left a kind comment about their work; one that makes sense and that we haven't written as if we were being charged per letter for those words... I mean, because that's what I think when I read: “Good post” or "Well written, I liked it. Blessings.“ Or responses like: ”Thanks for stopping by and commenting"... Oh my God... I don't know what many people think, but at least I wouldn't consider interacting more with that user... Although, in general, we forget about it and try again later.

How do you read, write + comment? Phone or computer?

With me it's phone any idea how many hours I invest?

There are many readons why not commenting. Not skilked, no time, not in the moid, depressed, knowledge (no one replies), not knowing what to say, AI writes better and... the fear for a brain tumour is not unreasonable. You cannot force people to invest in you.

I met great people and to a part I speak daily but no longer on Steemit only.
