I use to make pen drawing when I was younger.
I still do actually, but it is not as often as I use to draw before.
My motivation and drive was crushed by my dad.
He did not like the idea of drawing, he discouraged it any chance he got.
I tried my best hiding the drawings from him, but at some point, I grew tired of hiding.
So, I gave it a break.
As I grew, I knew I would go back to art at one point or the other.
When I signed up for steem, I picked up pencil drawing.
But it was not as good as I wanted, and definitely not as good as it was when I was younger.
I could make it better but I did not have much motivation because I was saddled with so much responsibility.
Now, I make digital drawings at the level I can.
I may have to do pencil drawing later, but it is a rest for me now.

Sounds like my parents. It is kind of pity since unlike what many parents and teachers say, art does bring money, it has a future and always had and will have.
Lately I read an overview of the ten richest professions and art is at the 4th place, not doctor, dentist, lawyer but art is where the money goes and flows.

True.
Parents need to let their children explore and do what they enjoy, whether it brings money or not. As far as it creates value, it is beneficial to the society at large.

I hope the day will come you pick up your pencil again and start drawer Ng. Daily 15 minutes and you will be better than ever. Doesn't it run in your family?

It does run in the family.
My brothers are good artist, I seem to be the lazy one in the family not practicing art. I'm sure I will take it serious soon.
