VULTURE: 5mins freewrite
If I'm to tell you a tale, what would it be?
Should it be of the two cities that fought for months over a trivial insult,
Or the song of greed I played to the hands of a murderer?
For it is all to the tip of my beak.
I look not for that which is living but that which is dead,
But perhaps I could be a catalyst to spread the flames.
You tell the tales of my ugliness, but I am patient to the end of time.
For the joker has now ended as a feast for me and my kin.
Perhaps a word of wisdom for the proud to be:
Perhaps I'm just a figure to tell you what you become after upholding a meaningless pride.
A glory that's to be forgotten at the end of time.
But to one's dullness, the trash pickup truck has found gold.
I am but to feast on those who die foolishly in the woods.
The meats and fats they had fought hard to sustain are chicken on my plate.
The hands that ever failed to give are now a gift to us.
We might be bald and ugly, but our patience is to feast on our mockers.
On the meats of the dead we have always fed,
But the cycle still holds, for what is the flesh but meat to be eaten by the worms.
He that waits for the life of another too should await his own death.
For that we pick silence over foolish wars.
For if there's a day without death, then there must be a day without birth.
For the two coexist, and these old bones must come to rest.
Time will tell, for even the human-made gods couldn't escape that fate,
And so will the ones who believe follow.
The Creator has created us to clean up the lands,
Even though we are next on the chain.

I’m really impressed by how well you’ve captured the vulture. Have you studied this bird? What I like is that you also emphasise the patience this bird displays, and if I may ask for a story, I’d love to hear the second option.

By the way, do you know zora.co? I’m currently looking into it and figuring it out; it might not be much, but it could be a nice extra way to draw attention to your art. Zora is also on the Base blockchain. Short text posts are free, but if you upload a photo, it becomes a mint (NFT) with its own coin/token.
I’m still figuring out the rest of base.app and the like. Offgridlife says that base.app no longer works for him. I’m going to look into it. There are also a few other options.

I really enjoyed learning about birds for a while in the past. Maybe it was the nursery rhyme about the three blackbirds, or my dramatic teachers at Rosenik, or even Encarta Kids on my dad’s first laptop 😂
