As with many other Rex cats, the Cornish maintains a muscular and athletic body. It carries itself with a slender yet sturdy stature. The personality of the Cornish Rex reflects its body and appearance. It maintains an intelligent personality that is able to engage in interactivity above some other passive minded breeds. Caring for these types of cats is similar to other shorthair cats where a simple yet regular brushing will help to maintain a good coat. One of the more interesting grooming practices however is the use of fingers to define the waves in the coat for an aesthetic appeal.
