But the Govt said it was justified as they had already declared the vote illegal!!!!! So they have every right to beat up old people and those expressing a democratic right. And this is in Europe in 2017. And the EU won’t condemn it.

Common sense says, let them vote having already declared it illegal, then ignore the result. This action has brought Spain to the brink! Civil wars have been started for less.
