Well we've found the perfect contender, Project P by Honda, a 165mph Honda Civic Type R pick up truck.

This was developed by a specialist team at Honda in the UK, we got chance to drive ths beast at the SMMT day a few days ago, what a vehicle, it's left hand drive, and use the same engine and gearbox from the sporty hot hatch, however this is a functioning pickup, and comes loaded with 2 Honda Izy lawnmowers.

We got to drive this vehicle on the hill climb section at Millbrook proving ground, this was immense fun, the power delivery and handling and especially the power through the gears is unbelievable.

It even has the Type R Civic rear spoiler, unlike the car it isn't fixed, this allows for the tailgate to be dropped to allow loading.

Is this the fastest pickup truck in the world?

Sadly Project P, isn't being put into production, we think it certainly should be though.
