This is my favourite auto show of the year as it has not only car and bike manufacturers, but also modified cars, car stereos, car clubs and classics.
Bangkok Auto Expo, 2016
The show is held for a week over the King's Birthday weekend every year and often draws a big crowd just to look at the "pretties"; the promotion girls employed on each vendor's stand. As we are currently still mourning for the late King, the pretties toned down their dress and behaviour this year, however there were still many great vehicles to see at the show. I'll be writing a story on the Wraith. It costs more than $1.4Mil US, to buy it in Thailand due to the import taxes.... 1.4 MILLION !!!!
Likely over 2 million euros if sold in Finland. ;)
Wow! Does Finland have heavy vehicle tax? Why? In Thailand they do it to protect the local vehicle industry.
We tax everything to the max. :) That way we can have free education, school meals and health care and the traffic networks are being kept in shape. That's the idea anyway.
