My friend got a permit from the state. The THC limit is very low so the growing conditions have to be carefully controlled. Any stress on the plants could ruin the crop.
I want to see one of these folks incorporating hemp production into a forest garden. So far, I'm seeing lots of monocultures that mimic industrial agriculture.

Hemp has a short, fast growing season. It also needs lots of sunshine and water. I'm not sure how you fit crops like that into a permaculture system.
